I have been asked by my line manager to update resources relating to the atributes - skills and attidues that we want our trainees to gain to help them get that top job.
The first issue to address is how to identify the learning style of an individual - just how do people learn best?
Some people learn best by watching a demonstration and then doing the task themselves. Some prefer to be involved in a debate while others prefer to absorb information via TV, video or by attending aa lecture. Most people have a combination of these learning skills but many display a strong preference for one style or another.
